Thanks for all the assistance with the rebuild of my car so far. It is now in for upholstery.
I have a question regarding the rear MIL seat. I understand it is not diamond button but plain, as per the attached photo.
However what is the strap on the seat squab for, and can someone send some details photo or dimensions for accurate reproduction please?

The strap kept the cushion from catching air and flying off at speed.

The tacks in the upholstery trim look too large. My original sources tell me the head should be 3/8". Also the welt is glued and should not be stitched.

Going one step more... the pinstripe pictured looks to be the maximum width allowed. I would want it a little skinnier.
