Wow, Looks like "Back Home in Iowa" I hope you didn't have any damage from the last major storm that went thru?
Can't wait for the summer and your tour. Hey maybe by then gas will be down a couple of pennies.
Thanks for the great pictures and send some more.

Mike,
Arbor Lodge is a beautiful spot and great choice for one of the day tours. The other spots include rich Nebraska and regional history including Rock Creek Station (where Wild Bill Hicock began his gunfighter reputation) and Homestead National Monument, home of the first Homesteader (Homestead Act).
Hope to see many forum members in June.
Rob
It looks very much like Iowa. A lot of people think of Nebraska and Iowa as being fairly level ground because they never get off of the Interstate. I've been to Nebraska City but missed Arbour Lodge. It's unusual to see such a beautiful building that doesn't have a paved driveway.
Mike, while out cruising the countryside, what was your group's average speed?
We were cruising at 35 mph on the way out and about 30 mph on the way back, we had a bit of a head wind coming home yesterday.
Mike, that's what I figured. My old truck would be redlining to keep up. Maybe I'd ought to get involved with an antique tractor ride group. ;)
Thanks for the photo's.

John,
I will probably travel slower, 25 to 30, and I think others will too. I plan on taking the 09 on some of the tour, and like to keep it under 30. If you come over, I am sure there will be others who run about 25.
Mike, you have a lot more experience with T tours, will some run under 30?
Rob
Hey John, I really hope you can make to the Tour there. It would be great to meet you there and we might even be able to talk some Hawkeye. My experience on tours is that guys drive at their own pace depending on the road of course.
It's not how fast or slow you go, But how much Fun you have in your T!
There is always someone that is faster OR slower than you. No prizes for either.
Be There, I don't want to have to drive another 4 or 5 hours East just to see you. hee hee
Gene - I totally agree with you. This is not a race, rather a vacation. Move at your own pace. Each day there is no specific start time only a must leave by time if you want to be in front of the trouble truck. It has been my experience that there are always a few that race from point a to point b. Others, myself included will take more time at each destination. I have been known on more that one occasion to be behind the trouble trucks in the evening on the way back. We prefer for people to spread out at the start so that all of the Model T's are not starting at the exact same time creating a huge log jam on the highways. The tour instruction books will tell you specific times for when a tour at a facility will end so that we can get people to the next venue in a staggered time frame. This is all in hopes of keeping everyone from standing in long lines etc. You are correct, this is about having fun and enjoying your T! Most of the roads we will be traveling are T friendly, laid back routes. There are a couple of times we have to get onto a little faster paced roads for a short time but they are roads that will allow traffic to move around us. We have members of our club that travel no faster than 30 mph. They always make it to the next destination. If we are traveling 60 miles the guy going 25 mph will arrive at the destination if he leaves 54 minutes before the guy that is 40 mph or 37 minutes before the guy that is traveling 35 mph. So I guess that what I'm saying is if you are a little slower, leave a little earlier or arrive a little later but always have fun!
The Nebraskaland bunch was out again today pre-running tour routes. These guys have done a great job of finding very nice Model T friendly roads, rolling hills, and great little towns. Below are some pictures from today's run.
