I'm asking my friends on the forum to pray for my Dad, Conrad, who, two nights ago, was ambulanced to the hospital and is now in the intensive care ward with badly infected kidneys (which have shut down) and sepsis. His doctor just informed me that his condition is worsening and they're having difficulty maintaining his blood pressure.

Thanks,
Bob

My Dad went from kidney failure a year and a half ago.
On the upside there are FAR worse ways to leave this world......be thankful for that at least.

Sorry for your loss Bob, I know there's nothing anyone can say to help, I just went through the same with my Mom I too was by her side also holding her hand. I had said months earlier that I hope I wasn't there when it happened. But thanking back she brought me into this ol'world and it was a privilege for me to be with her when she left us; she knew she didn't make the journey alone because I held her hand tell Jesus came and took the other one. Bob you'll miss him more than you'll realize right now, but you will be just fine hang in there, things will get better in time. May God be with your family .

I just had a feeling that I didn't want to ask that question. It seems like yesterday, though it was several years ago, that my dad was in the ICU with all kinds of tubes coming out of him. He couldn't speak but my mother and I could see the frustration in his eyes and we knew he didn't want to be kept alive that way. I asked the doctor if he would ever leave the hospital, the doctor said no. My mother and I made the decision to let him go and told the doctor to 'pull the plug'. He was dead within hours.
My mother is gone now too, I miss them both very much.
Bob, I share your pain and you have my deepest sympathies.
Dennis.

I agree with John. My mom, my sister and I, my wife and my daughter were all with my Dad when he passed over. He knew we were there. It's not easy, but no one promised us that life would be easy. I join with everyone else in offering my condolences. At times like this, the Dutch say, "I wish you strength," or just "Strength!" That's really what you need now.

To Bob and His Family:

Hank Williams sang a song in I think the 50's titled " I'll never get out of this world alive" ironically he was right.

Sorry to hear of your loss, he is in a better place , no worries , no pain and he is with all his friends and that have none on before. Oh, one other title I just thought of " Beyond the Sunset", and I would tell any and all who reads this post if you can find the words to these two songs listen to them as those are the ones I want sang ar recited at my funeral, as they are really touching.
I also have to say look for some of Merle Haggards music as he has some great songs and he lives about 10 east of where I live.
Again Bob and Family our thought be with you.

Bill Dugger
