Haven't heard from Billy Key in a few months, and now his email bounced. I started calling him Billy the Key after seeing a documentary on Billy the Kid, who roamed the same land in SE NM as Billy's ranch.
We visited Billy twice in 2007, and it was terrific. Billy has a TT project, etc., and life there is tough without rain.
Finally remembered to call Billy at a good time, and his phone has been disconnected. Now how do I find him? He had a sister and her family living on the ranch, but different last name, of course. His son lives in SW NM, but not sure where, and no idea of his first name.
He's been caring for his failing mother for a few years, as well as running the ranch.
Billy's Boot Ranch, at Wirelake, is about 50 mi. SW of Ft. Sumner NM.

I tried peoplefinder.com, which linked me to USSearch.com . They couldn't find Billy, but had two numbers in Roswell of surname key. One was a business that never heard of a Cody Key, and the other is not in service.
I'm running out of ideas.

Try calling electrical co-ops and/or propane dealers in the area.

Great News!
Thanks for all the leads and emails.
Al Tobin came up with a new home phone number for Billy, and I talked to his mother's caregiver. He will be back at the house within the hour, which means a lot. I'll call him, and get his presence back on here.
How did you find it, Al?

Rick: I just went in and goggle for some white pages in the different towns and that is what I came up with, it looked like he also has a place in roswell, and jeso nm. glad it worked, Al
C'mon, Billy. Talk!
When I got him on the fone tonite, I accused him of hiding from the govt.
His email hasn't changed, but it's sure been flaky or something.

When I met Billy there was a badger throwing out dirt from his T shop foundation with a dog and a cat watching from above!
My stupid critters would have taken the badger on and lost! With fifty head of elk on my lawn this year at least they will move away from a barking dog.
That must have been a Texas badger to dig a hole that big!
