Parts is parts, looks like T wheels on the front? Wouldn't want to be the guy holding on the aft of this machine...one slip and instant spaghetti!
Brave boys! a little air under those front fenders and she might go turtle.
RHD? Any idea where & when?
With the downforce of the area between the front fenders I'm sure the fenders would just rip off before they would lift the front of the car off the ground.
The C.O.P. (center of push) is also very high creating some downward thrust on the front end.
I would not consider that car a chick magnet.
I think there going to be in for a shock if it's a clockwise swing engine [which it looks like].
Looks like an old Liberty engine hanging on the back of that thing. Those front fenders would get that thing airborne if you got it going fast enough.
I'd hate to see that go off course in a parade...
i love those contraptions made when nobody had a welder-pre welder era i call it. yes, it looks like a wwi liberty motor, popular in racing boats of the era. there is a great photo of Gar Wood in a boat with two of these things runnin straight exhaust pipes out just a few feet from his face. ask mr google, i'm sure you'll find it
Well at least it has a horn and light! Look at the tip of the front fender...see it...that little carbide bike lamp. Looks like a cold wet windy ride.
If it is a clockwise swing engine and it does fly backwards --it's crash will called ''reversing into a mountain''
I`m not sure what the aero engine is , but I can tell you what it`s not . It`s not a Liberty , they were single overhead cam , with distributors at the back of both camshafts , and almost all were V-12`s . It`s also not a Curtiss OX-5 , the rockers were different and the exhaust ports were on the outside .
My learned aviation guru friend thinks the engine to be an OX-4 V8 out of a CURTIISS JENNY aircraft
NOT !!
