Started this thread over in PM in 2005, but learned today the '30 Packard I sold in 1996 burned up good.

Well,it is a shame he's suggesting it be turned into a hot rod. For that kind of money, one could have a very nice Packard to restore--granted, it will take LOTS of work and a good quantity of wood.
I hope someone post this on a Packard group site where it might have a chance.

Even i could restore that & it might not even cost that much.
I have an original 29 626 and it is really a fine car, well built and IMO ahead of its time.
Maybe I am missing something, I don't see anything about making it into a hot rod.
The part that is missing is the Craig's List ad that shows the car. It used to be there, it's not now.
The listing was removed by seller. Not having the link, ok I got it now.
