May 25th at the Expocentre parking lot in Topeka ,Kansas . About 5pm .
Since I've bought a couple of T's in recent years and there's no really local club . Everybody around here says we need to get together . Here's a starting point I hope .
Local Shriners are having Bar B Q cook off in parking lot and have said we're ok to use rest of lot for us . there will also be other car show there but hopefully T's show up for our own get together . Gotta start somewhere and know of 30 to 50 T's close in this area . Come on down and bring stories to tell . Thanks ..

Good idea. We have the same situation here. No local T club. So I'll post this: On Saturday May 19, the Special T's of Oklahoma will be touring to our area. They plan to leave Blackwell at 9:00 AM. I expect that will put them at the Cherokee Strip Museum in Arkansas City around 10:00. I plan to join them there. Everyone with a T here in Cowley County is invited to come along. After the museum the group will go to lunch at the Sirloin Stockade. After lunch the next stop will be my place to look at all my old junk. There may be one more place to visit in the afternoon. I still have to find out about that. If you're free that day, fire up Lizzie and come on out.
Steve - I'm think'n that you're just the guy to get a "T" chapter started in your area. Ya' know, a club can be as formal or "informal" as a bunch of guys want it. I can tell you this from our experience with our Carbon Canyon Model T Club here in Western Washington, we're only just "formal" enough to be somewhat organized, but we sure have a nice bunch of folks in our club, and it seems to be steadily growing.
By the way, I have a son who has just "relocated" to Herington, Kansas for work-related reasons, and according to my trusty Rand-McNalley Road Atlas, I just might have to change my route to Chickasha next year to visit him and our daughter-in-law and grandkids, and it looks like that route will take me right through your neck of the woods. Might drop in and see if ya' got a coffee pot brew'n in yer' shop!
are you providing the beer and bbq for all who shows up? I'll be there unless I get a better offer. Gary and cary knows and will be there. I'll see if they want to bring the TT speedster. I'll mention it to williams. I'll tell Nel with his speedster.
Who is the other car show?
Dunno if I want to get into being an "officer" of a formal club again. That's what finally killed our local AACA. Everybody had held every office and didn't want any more. But an informal group that gets together for occasional activities might be the way to go.
Herington won some unwanted notoriety as the town where Terry Nichols lived. If you come down US 77 from there it will bring you a couple of miles from my house. I should be able to get some coffee by then.
Just spoke with Todd. If he is not working he would like to come down with one of his fire trucks or his pie wagon. Tomorrow I will run by Nels house.
Thanks Ty.
I'll supply beer and food, you supply funds ??
Will try to get tv blurb and in paper and get some flyers for local posting .
Need to see if we can get Carl and his awesome '15 down there ..
Nel is going to bring his beautiful speedster
Dumb question. If Keith is providing beer and food, what are the funds for?
Bail<g>. (Just kiddin' guys). Dave
Ty ,don't worry about bail .Had beer other night with judge and she said we'd be covered by Statue of Libations ,or something like that . Also ,sine we go back 30+ years , you won't need all the funds to be in my presence .
Guess if is Statue for drinking, ours would be at Ft Hood ??
The judge says "You've been brought here for drinking." The drunk says, "Okay, let's get started."
Henny Youngman
wait your drinking with the female judge? Your wife and parole officer don't mind?
Talked to a guy at work who's 87 year old grandpa has long been into T's. This guys took a flyer and will bring his gramps down. I tell you this because the gramps is said to have a lot of parts to be gotten rid of.
Wish I could remember where I've put those names on little pieces of paper peo;le have given me through the years . Told everyone I could remember or find but I know the TT Tow truck up by Delia ,the pickup out by Cairo corner, that fellow that stopped by your house and was restoring one in that storage bldgs South of you . Hopefully will all get word from others . Put in newspaper too so let's see what happens .
