Saw this on eBay. Was this style lamp bracket ever supplied by Ford for mounting lamps on Depot Hacks etc. or is it just a generic bracket? I've seen a couple other styles but this one is new to me.

Thanks, John

John, just guessing here, but I would say it was made by a body builder for use on their bodies. Just a WAG on my part. Dave

I saw that, too.

It is just like the '15 runabout two-pice tail lamp bracket, but without the hole for the licence plate bracket.

The area appears to have had a hole at one time.

It sure is Keith, now that you mention it. I guess that's another way to mount them. Thanks guys.

The 1921 Hercules-bodied pickup I'm working on has the 1915 Coupe/Runabout tail lamp brackets for the cowl lamps. They appear to be original to the body. (Sorry about the poor pic.)

The holes for the license plate bracket are not filled in. I expect those were available from Ford dealers pretty cheaply in the 20's, so it was an easy way for body manufacturers to provide a mounting bracket for the cowl lamps.
