That is a great looking boat-tail speedster. Is a higher-resolution picture available?
OH! NEAT! Look at that Faultless roadster!
One thing I love, is old photos with a speedster in a normal street scene.
An extra thank you Jay for this one!
I forgot to say,

That is a mighty fine looking luggage rack on the touring also. With braces form the top support posts.
Great picture Jay. Grandpa's version of distraction due to texting.
Another speedster at a billboard.
In the enlargement of the speedster, I noticed the sign shows "Yellowstone Hi-Wa." I first thought that this might be on the Yellowstone Trail (I live just a few blocks away from it), but apparently there was also a Yellowstone Highway. I see on the Yellowstone Trail website ( http://www.yellowstonetrail.org ) there is a book about the highway, and the description states it is often confused with the Yellowstone Trail, but the highway route ran from Denver to the Yellowstone National Park. Does anyone know where this photo was taken?
Isn't that speedster like Humble Howards? Dave
I'll bet the guy in the spats is the speedster driver! What a great pic.
And the Stutz speedster--WOW I wonder if it can go 30 mph?
I guess I should have been a bit more specific. I meant the one in the first picture. Dave
David,
I wouldn't say HH's speedster was much like that one. Although there are some similarities. The disc wheels on this one look especially good with this particular body style. HH's car could probably outrun this one though. I do have photos of Howard's car, but not on the computer and my scanner is still ker-flooey.
I am pretty sure that particular Stutz race car was somewhat famous. I don't know the history, but I think I saw it in a movie from about 1920. That could have been a different one, but I am sure I have seen it before. I suspect it could do a LITTLE more than 30mph.

OK, Humble Howard is not the one I'm thinking of. EVERYONE knows him and car, it looks very much like this one, I'm almost ashamed that I can't think of it. It's white with red axles and trim and he drives the heck out of it. I think it has Laurel Equipment painted on it. Dave
The only Faultless bodied car I personally know, was George Azevedo's. He restored it back about 1970 and I think it has been on more SCVMTFCA Endurance Runs than any other car. Sadly, George passed away awhile back, but rumor has it that a member of his family will begin running it again this year.
Unfortunately, this appears to be the only picture I have of it on my computer. Stupid HP scanner/printer programming glitch. I have some good photos of it.
Over the years, I have seen pictures of a couple other Faultless bodied Fords.
Laurel was another body builder. They manufactured and sold just about anything you could want for your speedster T from minor accessories to completed cars to order. Laurel also built a boat-tail speedster/roadster body that was very good looking. I believe there is one up in the Pacific Northwest.
