Hi All,
I connected with a guy who is selling a bunch of parts from an estate
he says he has Gaskets, Brake parts, Radiators, Engine Block, Transmission, Jacks, Wooden Wheels, Head Light Buckets, Windshield Frame, and Carbs.
and more
he wants $500 bucks for the lot and that it should fill the back of my Ford Ranger up.

I've had my model t a couple of yrs and don't have many spares accumulated yet,so someone tell me I should go for it!
I need some encouragement

tnx patrick

If it's all in decent condition, I agree.

He who hesitates is lost. What else could you do with $500.

Rich

See if he will take $350.

A small clue. Most Model T parts are still easier to buy than they are to sell.

I'm with Richard. Offer him less, he just might take it, but if not and the parts are useable, I would jump on them. I once bought a car trailer full of T parts at a swap meet. The guy had a price of I think $200.00 for the lot. I was looking for a couple of parts and he asked me if was interested in the whole lot. I told him no, and he asked me what I would give, just off of the top of my head, I said $50.00. He said sold, he just wanted to get rid of them. You never know if you don't ask. If you just use a few of them, or sell a few of them, you have made your money back. JMHO. Dave

Years ago I was at a swap meet and wanted some A parts this guy had in his truck. Well it was "all or none" and the price was cheap for just the parts I wanted, so OK. I pull my truck up and start transferring parts to my tuck. Folks walk up and start buying parts from me, and before I had loaded my truck with what I wanted, I was already money ahead!! The guy I bought them from was not bothered, but said, "HOW did you do that? I couldn't get anything for them!"
I apologized and admitted that I didn't have a clue why either!
Some days are pretty good days to get out of bed!

Hi Folks,
well I went and bought my stuff. We agreed at $380, unfortunately not everything there I expected but still a good haul I think.
There's a warford tranny, the workings of an earlier tranny(mixed width drums), 3 old brass kingston carbs in bags marked 1914, they look rebuilt.I'll probably sell that stuff as I don't need. Also a spare Head, engine block, exhaust and intake manifolds, cam shaft, kingpins and bushings, a good metal timing gear . then some oddities, to me anyway, a duplex Tripp Secord double spare tire carrier with lock. a vacuum wiper system, it's like a bar thats 3 feet long that has a brass nameplate that says Trico Signal. and well lots of boxes of goodies. so reasonably happy. I'm newer to hobby and this forum, I'll have to learn how to post pics.
BTW George III , the jacks I got with the lot almost look like old bottle jacks, nothing special
Patrick

If you've seen the recent discussions of fiber timing gears, you know the iron one is a good find. I think that and the carbs make this a good buy. The rest is gravy.
