Isn't that pretty!
An apron apron?
Not as pretty as our Duncan & Fraser's...
I was planning on nickle plating a lot of the parts on my late 25 Touring--Including many engine parts. And if the NEXT OWNER doesn't like it, he can paint them black.
My Steinbohm
Peter,
Its "Steenbhom"
David-
They say beauty is is is the eye of the beholder. Since neither of us is the "beholder"of a nice early Tarrant or Duncan & Fraser bodied car our friendly debate will have to wait until we can compare real items! Silly car anyway. Who would build one without a drivers door?
Warwick.
Henry Ford!
Top photo, whats up with the side splash apron? Looks like canvas cover on it?
The Australian body makers sure made some pretty T's. I love the looks of the cars in the two vintage photos above. Too bad we can't find 'em like that up here in Canada....
Is it my view from here or is that bonnet longer with separated louvres??
Could just be reflections.
Manuel in Oz
I want that starter!
Eric, the Tarrant roadster in the top photo has fabric splash aprons. These were not un-common on some of the colonial bodies.
Warwick, even Tarrant recognised that South Australian bodies were superior. Why else would they have their better quality bodies made by Holden's in Adelaide.
Allan from down under with a Holden bodied Tarrant tourer.
Thanks Peter,
Hit the go button before I looked closer. Saw it as it went.
I just have to say it again. I love those Ts you have from down there. Thank you guys again for sharing these photos, both old and new.
Drive carefully, and enjoy, W2
Tom, that starter would look perfect on your 26.
