If you've ever tried to drive one of these old cars in the mud, you know that they kind of go where they want to, and not necessarily where you are trying to steer them.
There is a fence on the right side on the edge of the road, who knows what was behind him. Further back the mud might have been on the right. Notice he was chained up. Tire laying in the mud still looks like the chain is on it. Steve new cars and trucks, even 4 wheel drive kind of go where they want to in gumbo. I carry chains in my truck year round and I am not one of these four wheel drive guys that go around looking for trouble. To many places here where help may not show up for a day or two. Only only once did ever I break a bead and have a tire come part way off a rim.
