Any more information about theft?
Date time etc??
They may be headed to our town?
I'm sorry to hear that William. I live across the water from you a know a lot of "T" people from here to Tacoma. I will put the word out. Were you the guy selling T parts on the Island last week on Craigslist?
..Fred
WoW...! William
That's tuff sorry to hear that. I sure hope they catch them and you recover the cars and part's. Good Luck. Was the cars insured ?
Post some picture of the cars if you've got them. Not likely they will show up out here in Florida but you never know. There's nothing I have more contempt for than a thief.
William,
I forwarded your notice to the Kitsap County Model T Club and Olympic Vintage Auto Club. Hope you get your stuff back.

If those cars were on Whidbey Island, wouldn't it be kind of hard to remove them from that island on a ferry boat?
Larry,
There is a bridge to Whidbey Island. Don't have to take the ferry to get off.
Too bad Terry can't give more details about this crime. If it happened a long time ago, someone may have seen something that could help.
Jim
Larry - You'd do it about the same way you would on Manhattan Island, only with a lot less traffic.
On a more serious note, isn't the Monroe Swap Meet coming up soon? Something to think about.
Boy! I sure hate to hear this; hope they turn up somehow or other and that some scum bag gets what he deserves!
Oops,....you and I were typing at the same time Jim.
Thank you guys for responding ....I have been having trouble getting to the forum since my post......will try to answer all the questions in order........1) the theft could have happened anytime in the last 4 months ,but was probably near the last of Feb.........Neighbor reports seeing a silver toyota 4runner and a dark brown or dark maroon possibly Chevy PU with a flatbed trailer at the site....2)NO I am NOT the guy selling parts on crigslist,I have heard about this from another source it seems that the guy disappeared immediately after my post, please tell me anything you might know about this......3) NO the cars were not insured.......4)Whidbey Island does have a bridge but Know that I rode the ferry tuesday and there were no less than three PU's with flatbed trailers on the ferry I rode on......4) I am well aware of the swapmeet in Monroe I go every year........5) I also hope this scumbag gets his due.........6)thank you all for your replys Bill Terry
William, hope you have good luck in finding the thieves. Keep us informed. Dave
Pictures would be a big help, sooner or later someone would surely recognize one of your cars at a flea, sale or event somewhere in the country. You have a big spread for folks here.
Whoever saw the Craiglist ad should ask them to find it and provide id to the police.
OT: Isn't the bridge between Whidbey and Fidalgo (Anacortes) over Deception Pass. It gets windy.
Yep, that's the bridge Ralph.
That's quite a while ago and time is, unfortunately, not on your side. Trying to put myself in the perp's shoes an (even remotely local) swap meet would be the last place I'd go to sell but you never know. I can't imagine their still being in one piece either. Sorry for your loss. Good Luck.
William, stuff like this just makes me angry. My only suggestion is that you keep your eyes peeled online for parts or even the cars (we can only hope they're that stupid). I hope you get your cars back. As for insurance, theft from your home might be covered by your homeowners insurance, i'd inquire about it.
Once again, sorry to here about this.
Another sad possibility is that everything including both cars was immediately sold for scrap. Scrap dealers often just accept whatever is brought in, no questions asked. I know several guys who lost whole cars and parts off their land or out-buildings, and learned that it was all sold for scrap. Check or call all the scrapyards in the area and outside the area, who knows.
William, I don't usually save Craigslist Ads but I did this one.
I called the number several times but it had been disconnected. Maybe this will help.

I just got home from a trip, sorry for our loss. If it was an open trailer ,someone saw
it . Will keep an Eye out for you.
Bob
I can only imagine how devastated you must be at the loss of your Ts. Sounds like much of Puget Sound is looking for you.
I just called that number and it is working now.. If I get a responce I will let you know...
