I have been selling on e bay for quite a while and thought I have seen it all check out this question on a Model T I had for sale
hi, i am looking for a model t to restore with my 5 yr old son and take out to for rides with him. I love the model t's that have the old brass. If your car does not sell, i am offering a payment option to you. I would offer you $175 a month up until april of 2013 and i would pay you the balance left in full for the car. I would also let you keep the title for the car until the car is paid off and then you could mail me the title. Think about it p.s., i can mail you out payments direct to your name in either paypal tranfer, or personal check, money orders etc. thanks.
Then just today another person bidding on a 1926 asked if I would take payments if not for me to retract his bid, cant people sead the rules for payment

Bob,
Tell them to pay with PayPal on their credit card. You get paid, they get the car, they make payments to their credit card and everyone is happy.
Jim
Some people dont want to use their credit cards or I think dont have one, Bob
I absolutely WILL NOT use PayPal for anything. After one bad experience (my first purchase) I don't trust them as far as I can spit.
Every time I've bought something on Ebay, I've contacted the seller and told them I would send a check, and when they were satisfied the check had cleared, they could send the merchandise.
So far, nobody has refused. Of course, I've never bought anything as expensive as a car.
If they can make payments to you, what's stopping them from making payments to a credit card company or bank for a personal loan? Sounds like a twist on the car sale scam to me.

Tell them you have a easy payment plan half down and the rest now!
What I see here is: Buy your car, Make one payment... Take car apart...sell parts... screw you! A sucker is born every minute! Nice scam!
John S., You hit the nail on the head. Exactly what I was thinking. Jimmy
