We had some fair weather today so I took the T on the Olympic Vintage Auto Club Pizza Run to Port Hadlock, Washington so I could test out my new double wishbone setup. After pizza a friend and I drove out the Fort Flaggler State Park on Marrowstone Island. On the way back we stopped at the general store and took a break. All in all a very good day :-) :-).

We had a club meeting today and did some driving in the rain. Off and on...not steady.
Nice to hear you had a good day for touring.
We'll have to make a lunch run soon.

Few things are as pretty as a brass car in "Chinese Restaurant" colors. Henry should have known that red, black and brass was always the way to go. Gorgeous!

Bob, did she drive any differently with the wishbone braces?

Sure looks nice. Sounded like a great day of T driving.

Erich,

The double wishbone made a difference in the "feel" of the front end. It felt like it had a greater firmness when I went over bumps. I would strongly recommend to anyone with the over-axle wishbone to consider putting a doubler on their wishbone. This is the style I used - it is available on eBay.

Hi Bob, Nice T and lucky you with nicer weather than us. I was wondering if you could provide a picture of the ball end. Do you use only the one ball? If there were 2 it wouldn't move up and down.. If it works good I might make a few sets...

Jerry,

The original over axle wishbone is installed as normal. The second wishbone is a later one with the ball cut off. It is installed below the axle. You will have to change the perch nuts from the early style flat nuts to the later style tapered nuts. The cotter pin hole on the perch will be covered so I used loctite to keep the nuts on.

Bob, I sure would feel better if there was a way to drill and wire those lower nuts.

Erich,

I used Stud-Locker. It takes a torch to get them off.
