ALCO: American locomotive CO.
The first truck to cross the U.S. was an ALCO.
It hauled a load something to make soap in Petaluma, Ca.
Yeah, they don't call it a BEAST for nothing!

ALways love your vids, Bob. That Vanderbilt Cup race was my fav in this batch. Although I think Bearcats runs a close second...grin..
Thanks, Danial. I've been trying to make the still photos look a little more magazine-like.

Sorry, Luke. I won't do that anymore.
I'm not smart enough to post links, despite being Internet/Website Chairman on the HCCA board of directors. But Rob Heyen has some new competition down under. An Australian fellow has created two videos, one of his Model N and one of his Model K. And you won't believe where he drives the N! Go to hcca.org. When the home page comes up, click on "Skip Animation and Show Announcements". Then click on either or both videos. They're a treat!
Gil Fitzhugh, Morristown, NJ
Here's the Model N video link, Gil:

This is a good video. He gets right to the mechanical details.
Phil
It's been pointed out to me that, in terms of videos, the general topic of brass cars doesn't belong here on a Model T website, so I'm stopping that. Anyone who would like to continue receiving brass car videos may send me their e-mail address and I'll send them out that way, instead.
If you can figure out mine you can send me some.
Oops. I should have included my e-mail address in my last posting to this thread.
I'm not going to post brass car videos here anymore (unless they're Fords) but for those who would like to continue to see the REO's, EMFs, Overlands, Pierce-Arrows, Locomobiles, Simplexes, Mercers, Stanleys, Maxwells, Whites, Hubmobiles and such, you can get on my Brass Car Video e-mailing list by dropping me an e-mail at: jugflyer@aol/com.

I even screwed up my own address. Okay, lemme try again:

Hi Bob it's Been a while sense I complemented you on your video posts, Great Job!! That said I hope you will reconsider posting those on the other brass cars. I know you got one or two negative responces to this. But to deprive the rest of us the Mercers,Pierce Arrows,Packards, and all the other great videos of the past you have brought to us, well it just unfair. This from a guy how lives and sleeps model T fords I also welcome the change in scenery once in a while too. I know it takes time to find and post these and I'm sure others appreciate the effort also. Thanks
I'm with you mike!
I was thinking the same thing just yesterday afternoon too.......
Hey guys, thanks for your support. I really appreciate those kind words!
I know a way to make everybody happy:
Anyone who likes the Brass Car videos can e-mail me at jugflyer@aol.com and I'll put you on my video e-mailing list. I promise I'll never EVER share your e-mail address with anyone. Wild horses couldn't drag it out of me. Heidi Klum could tickle my chin with a feather-boa all day long and I wouldn't give her your e-mail addresses. Honest!
Meanwhile, I'll keep posting Model T Ford videos here as I can find 'em.
:-)
A ride back in time.

Okay... I know I promised not to post any more off-topic videos, but you don't want to miss this one.

That contraption kicks the definition of "butt ugly" up to a whole new dimension! But you're right, Bob - this one's not to be missed.
Gil Fitzhugh, Morristown, NJ
I'm reminded of the F-4 Phantom. It was so poorly designed that to correct the mistakes, they had to bend the horizontal stabilizers downward, the wingtips upward and add a big, flat billboard in front of each engine intake. The look, once you added all the improvised corrections together was so ugly, it was magnificent.
Same deal with the Veritas—it's just too wild not to be wonderful.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFnfo3cizx8&feature=g-vrec
Hey, there's Fast Frank demonstrating #22 at about 9 minutes into the video
Watchin' that guy crank it up gave the chills, either a broken wrist or a mouth full of crank.
He does seem to have an awful lot of faith in the adjustment of his timer, doesn't he?
Me—I always take the chicken's way out and crank, left-handed, from 7 to 1 o'clock.
I just loved Larry's video, he is living a Model T owners dream. He also makes some good stuff..
