So, it seems that Ford published a typo. I imagine it should read "MODELS "N" "R" and "S" Roadster". But Bob, why would you repeat a typographical error! :-) :-)

Sorry - couldn't resist.

Model "S" and "S Roadster" are two different cars.

Well, there goes my typo theory....

Also misspelled and miscapitalized "accessories". Spelling never was Henry's strong suit.

Bob,

Thanks for posting it.

The first documented S-Roadsters were shipped in Mar 1908 and the last documented "new" Model R Runabouts were listed shipped in Oct 1907 in the Trent's Ford Database. From memory (not as good as it once was) Trent also documented a few stragglers were sold later. Put an R body on an S Runabout chassis and change the wheels from 28 x 3 to 30 x 3 and you have a Model R Runabout. Perhaps they had a few additional bodies they wanted to move. Or I may have remembered it incorrectly. If anyone would like that better documented please let me know and I will try to look it up.

Respectfully submitted,

Hap

Do you have a copy of this, if not I'll make some extra copies and send you one.

Bob

Bob,

I do not have a copy of that one and yes, would you please make a copy (scans work great as you can e-mail them etc.). Thank you for the offer. For text a 150 dpi scan works fine. For illustrations if the original is good, 300 dpi works great. And for scanning actual photographs even higher resolution works great. I will share the copy with the Early Ford Registry as I checked but I did not see that one on their site. I'll also check to see if Chris would be interested in adding it or perhaps a link to down load it to our MTFCA site.

Thank you so much for offering to copy or scan it -- which ever works best for you. I have sent you a private message (PM) via the forum – if you do not see it – please check your spam folder and/or click on my name at the beginning of this post. You will see my e-mail is the third line down on my profile.

Respectfully submitted,

Bob,

I have sent you a second PM. If you do not receive it, you may want to send your self a PM and see if it arrives. If not -- then your address may need updating in your profile (mine did a while back when I re-registered and I didn't put the e-mail address back in correctly).

Again, thank you for the kind offer.

Respectfully submitted,

Bob: Thank you. I have not had the pleasure of meeting Mike, but I will try to look him up. Recently I did talk to a 'T' guy who recently moved to Anchorage. We agreed to get together in person in the near future. It is good to get some more "model T" company.

Bob,

Thank you so much. I'll be watching for the postman.

All -- if you have some other items such as USA, Canadian, UK, AU, NZ, etc. booklets or advertisements etc. that have not been captured yet please consider scanning them and making them available. (Bruce captured many items and some of them are available on the MTFCA web site at: http://mtfca.com/books/bookmenu.htm and additional items on his CD available from the Lang's and most likely other Vendors.) But there are still many clues out there that we would like to add to the others we have.

Bob,

Thank you so much it arrived in the mail today! It is very very similar to the 1907 "How to Run the 'FORD' Models "N" and "R"" I did not recognize the title page you posted but when I got the other reprint out to compare it turns out the title page is not the same as what the cover says on the 1907 pamphlet. Ford also deleted all the mention of "R" and added "S" and Roadster. And in the 1907 version the say 3 people is a crowd for the two seat runabouts. But since they are selling a three seat roadster they changed it to 4 people is a crowd.

Again thank you so much for sharing it with me. I am hoping to contact Chris when my work slows down after this week and see if we can scan and post some or all of the pamphlet.

And yes, I will gladly keep an eye out for additional Snowmobile, Snow Flyer, Snow Bird and Eskimobile etc. information. Funny down here in South Carolina we don't see many sleds etc. for some reason....

Again thank you so much!

Respectfully submitted,

Believe it or not they were used in the swamps, minus the skies. There was also a 60" gage available.
