I have a chance to buy a 27 touring, restored, in good shape gonna go look at it in a few days, hes asking 7500 for it, what do you think?
Check ebay for completed auctions.
If it IS, in fact, restored (I'd ask LOTS of questions) you'd better not let it slip through your fingers....... ;)
There's "restored" and there's restored. The guys who "restored" my touring for the previous owner did a pretty decent job on the body, but ignored a lot of the mechanical work which I have since done. Considering what I've had to do to the car, I paid too much. Really check it out before you buy. If it really is restored, that's a good price.
There's a saying; "Paint it black, shove it back".
Things like babbit thrust washers are conveniently overlooked.
Applies to a number of T "restorations" I've seen - the car falls apart soon after purchase.
