Some of you that know Teresa and I know we have a daughter with learning disabilities, who married a gentleman also with disabilities. Teresa and I went to pick up a 20 year old Max Buffalo 6 wheel drive ATV she bought at an auction and on the way home April called us. A "gentleman" from "Caribbean Cruise Lines" called them to tell them they had won a free trip, with spending money, etc. they just had to OK some fees on their credit card. The son-in-law handed the phone to April and she was convinced to give him her credit card number. s
She realized her mistake and the person stayed on the phone trying to get more information as she used another phone to call us. We got home 10 minutes later but he had hung up. We then called her credit card company fraud division and reported the whole thing. He had charged $418, $798, $569, and $340 before hanging up. Since some of the transactions are "pending", we were advised to call the fraud division back if any show up on her card. Perhaps it's best that I can't find out who or where the scumbag lives. I'm sure a "jury of my peers" would find my actions justifiable! Sorry for the rant.

Noel,
I'd be more then happy to build the gallows and pull the lever. I have a nephew who has disabilities and he had a very similar experience.
I hope you catch the b*st*rds.
Hope ye can get some justice.
Sad what levels people will stoop to to git money out of ye.
I got a phone call last night from a nice lady with "Windows Operating Systems." She told me that my computed had sent them a message that it was infected and that all I needed to do was log on and give her the codes so that she could access my computer and she would remove the infections! What a nice service!
I told her to pound sand, well maybe those weren't exactly my words, but she got the message.
Beware!
A "person" called my dad one day and said "Hello, Grandpa!"
Dad said, "Who is this?"
Person said, "It's your grandson"
Dad said, "Really? I don't think you're my grandson?"
Person: "How do you know I'm not?"
Dad then told them, "Well, I have a grandson. He's eight. How old are you?"
CLICK........
Dr. Noel, it's too bad some computer geek couldn't make a program that would go back to the scammer and fix his hard drive so it would really raise hell with everything on his computer. Or maybe show the address that he is working from.
Do we get to see pictures of the 6 wheel drive ATV?
Most of these scams come from Nigeria, it is a major business there, there is nothing that can be done to them. Just remember that nothing is free, and greed will often win over caution. Never give any information to some one who calls or e-mails you, 99.99999% of the time it is a scam.
Best
