I see A thread advertising a 14 T with tons of photos. I don't think the forum is a place to advertise because we have a classified section for selling. I think this thread should be pulled.
Sorry They say it's a 13 not 14.
Dennis try putting photo's in our classified section
I enjoy seeing the cars for sale with photos--rarely look at the classifieds for that very reason. Not an issue for me---just my two cents.
I enjoy the photo's too. Plus, the classified section is difficult and problematic with all the scamming. Scammers aren't going to cruise the threads PLUS you can pull the profile section on the seller and see who it is.
I like looking at the photos of things for sale too. I don't thing it is a problem unless the site starts getting a bunch of non-Model T related junk.
Why not remake the classified section so it works just like the forum?
Possible benefits could be more photos of parts and cars for sale and less problem with scammers.
I never look at the classifieds here for the same reason.
Just more fun stuff to look at, discuss and learn from, which is why I come here!
Howard Dennis
The classifieds is to basic,no photos,no way to ask a simple question.Granted, the regular forum is not the best spot, but I think the classfieds are in BAD need up a upgrade in thier layout.I aggree, similar to this forum layout would be great.I would not be near as reluctant to post a wanted ad,would be less chance of scam or spam.
Bob;
Thanks
I enjoyed looking at the pictures
I had a 13 in the late 60's, early 70's. I wish I had never sold it. I don't know if this project is 100 % complete, but if it were mine, I'd have to be in dire straits to sell it piece by piece
Appears to be missing a Coil Box, maybe a carb, and no body. If I was in the market for a 13 beginning project, I'd take it.
Robert raises his "Head" again.
I also enjoyed Bob's post.
I find no problem with Forum members tastefully listing items for sale on a Forum thread with PICTURES until a new classifieds section is adopted.
Like OT for Off Topic, we could use FS/W for for sale/Wanted or just FS during the interim.
and he has a ad in the classified's section too
We are a bunch of 'visuals.' Anything T related with a picture are ok. lol
Terry - actually, not dire straights, but we adopted a 12 year old boy this year who is itching to get into antique cars - now. So, having a project sitting in the garage that'll take a couple more years is not the way for us to go. Better to sell it off, and get something else that is good to go. He likes Mets and Bantams and the like.
I can always re-visit a T Ford down the road.
I prefer to sell it whole - but need a buyer, so if none steps up, it'll go in bits and help more cars get on the road. I do have a coupla nibbles on the whole lot, and a whole lotta items reserved separately if it doesn't go that way.
I would be willing to negotiate a bit on the whole works, but not the bits.
This car was originally a roadster - have the paperwork to prove it...
In any event, enjoy the pics -
Bill - no coil box (13 can be metal or wood...so not a huge issue, and they are avail repop...), but the carb (Holley NH rebuilt) is there. No body means open to possibilities, right?!?
Including photos with your MTFCA classified ad is simple and easy. I've done it many times.
All you need to do is get a free online photo hosting account such as Photobucket.

When you fill out the classified form, you put a link to your photos in the space labeled "URL."
I sure like seeing a good for sale forum post - they sohuld be clearly labelled as such however? - The tpyo is just to make sure you are awake!
