More 1925 Coupe pictures

The gray part of the interior is not original. The original upholstery was brown with a white stripe on the bottom section, and a solid brown on top. It's hard to tell about the panel below the window and the seats. They should be a darker brown, but I don't know if that is due to the lighting, fading or if it is a replacement.

The visor on the other hand looks original. If not, it was recovered correctly. I'd be interested in seeing some more details of the interior and of the top material.

I have an original 25 coupe and it was gray. It looked brown until I took it apart and found that the brown was just dirt, but it was definitely gray. I also found several other, what I call transition parts, wider pedals on transmission, later brackets and nuts that swing the top half of the windshield out, etc. I figued Henry was just using up parts to get it put together on the line.

Michael,

Do you have any photos of the original interior of your car? All of the documentation I have indicates that the interior on the Coupe and Tudor was brown throughout the 1924 and 1925 model year production. The change to the gray happened with the introduction of the "improved" 1926 model year. I've never seen an original 1925 interior which was gray. However, it would not be unheard of for Ford to make undocumented changes. In fact they seem to do it quite often.

I'm not sure when the change to the wider pedals happened. I know that there was a transition period in some of the mechanical parts like the brake drum and large drum rear axle which appear to happen in the late 1925 model year.

Terry and Michael,

Can you let me know the engine number or date the engine was assembled on these cars? Also, see if there is a body serial number. It will either be a series of raised numbers on the passenger's side floor board riser and end with a B, or it may be stamped into the wood on the top of the sill on the driver's side between the door and the floor boards (you may have to look closely for this as it may not be very clear). There may not be any body serial numbers which is also useful information.

Thanks,
Dave S.

Dave, I'll get the engine serial number on the Texas T coupe next week when I work on it, and more pictures, too. I, too, question the originality of the interior and top. I just don't see how the top material could be so fresh and supple even if it was stored inside all these years, Also, as the interior photo shows the headliner from the beltline up appears gray. the door panels and kick panels below the beltline appear brown, and the seat material appears cream color.
