went to an auction last week and look what followed us home. it is a chenango camper made in norwich NY by the chenango equipment co. circa 1926 or 28. she was last used in 1964 and put away ready for the next trip.complete with the pots, pans, chairs, cook stove, raincoat, bathrobe, pillows, blankets fly swatter, etc, everything you need to go camping. we opened it up and the mice did not eat it. i am not sure why, but the only place we found mouse nest was in the silverware draw. getting ready to wash and clean the whole thing out and plan on using it on the Tent Topped Touring T's annual camping trip in june. what a great find after 50 years of dry storage

Now, that's a find! When you get a chance, how about some pictures from several angles, including what's inside?

Doug,

Good catch! I hope that you bought a lottery ticket on the way home.

Congratulations. Bill

If you have not as yet checked out the Pop-up Camper History site,
they have great coverage of the Chenango including the patent link and
a 8 page 1924 brochure.

I am surprised that no one has mentioned that we would like to see more photos of this camper.
