Another from the University of Melbourne.

I seem to remember that this might have been posted before, about 12 months ago.

Dane, that is the photo I was looking for when an earlier thread was posted with a similar car. I saw it with a friend in Ballarat, but couldn't find it when I went looking. Can anyone remember the thread when the look-alike car was posted? There was much discussion about its heritage and I could not find this one to compare them.

Help!

Allan from down under.

This car is a NSW bodied T made by Smith and Harvey Forest Lodge according to the photo I have on file.

Hello Manuel:

For us in the US that sh-t on the roads is now, for the politically correct crowd, called
Equine Residue?

Harvey ....

Did a little tour courtesy Google Earth. As near as I can make out this is the same location. Gates gone, building replaced, a bus but no tram in sight, Equine effluvium not visible and they have even moved the car!

Did they paint the strip right over the car, must have been a no park zone, neat.

Dane, The photo may be in the University of Melbourne files but it was taken at the gates of Sydney University.

The gates and fence are still there on Parramatta Rd Forest Lodge they are opposite 58 Parramatta Rd Forest Lodge. Smith and Harvey had there Factory probably directly across the road from the gates or near by.

The building with the spires seen above the drivers seat is the main building of the University.

If someone has a computer with a mouse that is not as touchie as my laptop they will probably be able to post a photo from Google showing the gates now. You have to go east to City Road and then head south to see the main building because of the buildings and trees now in the way.

G'day,

Don't try and park this way on Parramatta Road today, won't be much left of you. Bumper to bumper traffic nearly all day every day. Spent many hours stuck in traffic along this road.

Peter

Thanks for the correction. The landscape is very similar to Swanston Street in Melbourne.
