Hi Doug, Thanks for the great story of the Wikner Ford Special!
I was visiting with your friend from Winterset and he said you were very much into vintage racing. Now we know just how much. He mentioned your visit to the Raceway Museum at Knoxville, Iowa.
Doug, It would be much appreciated if you would post some pictures of your beautiful historic race car for all of us to see.
Thanks, John

I sure would like to see a good picture of the car.
John & Aaron,
Doug is a mate of mine, and I am sure he wont mind me posting this picture of the Wickner. I have known Doug for over forty years and saw the car before it was restored. Regards, John
Favourite pictures, in this one I have just rounded up an MG B at Eastern Creek raceway Sydney
Favourite number 2 at Lakeside Raceway Queensland where I first drove the car in 1962 aged 18
Here are a couple of photos taken at the 2008 RACQ Motorfest in Brisbane Queensland (100 Years of Model T Ford display).
What can one say Re, the above picture ?--except to say Dough your better 3/4 [Elizabeth] just adds class to he car.
As we all know the mortality rate of race cars is horrendous but here we have is Australia's oldest surviving race car preserved because it fortunately fell into the hands of the right guy to not only to bring it out to race venues but to show so many of us Australian rev heads a FORD T's capabilities on the race track.
I'm not sure if Mr WICKNER would approve of it being completely air born at some raceways but it's certainly entertained a lot of spectators that would have never seen an early 1920's race car in fair dinkum action .
NOT ONLY SHOULD THIS CAR BE RECORDED IN THE RACE CAR ''HALL OF FAME'' but it owner should be also mentioned in the way of B-LLS needed to handle one of those early 1920's brake less race cars in todays race conditions.
Thanks for posting those fine pictures guys.
Very interesting car.
