I was offered a trade of a T basket case.
It is missing the turtle. The serial numbers on engine is 4758420. Do the photos match the numbers?
How Much will it cot me to replace??
About 10 years ago I really wanted a turtle deck and paid $400 for one in fairly good condition. I still have that deck in the same, un-restored condition (and I'll sell it for what I paid for it ,or best offer above that, plus shipping).
I know, I know...this ain't the classified section.
I included photos of the trade!
Is a 21 like the serial numbers?
Thanks!

No offense, but I see bondo and rust. If that's an incomplete basketcase, the price should reflect that clearly.
A few more images would be helpful. From what you have shown, the body panels are of the style introduced in 1923. The hole in the rear quarters for the top support irons is a salient feature.
A measurement of the front edge would be helpful to determine if you have a low-cowl '23 body or the high-cowl '24. From your pictures, it appears to be the '24. Compare the angle of the top edge vs. this image showing both low cowl and high cowl front quarters.
The upper edge of the firewall in your images indicates a high type. Check the measurements against these of the low and high type firewalls:
A further check on the upper cowl piece would be helpful.
Thanks!!!
More photos of the Pile
I need to do more research!

Looks like you have a 28" wide " 5 rib" late '23-'25 firewall and a similarly late '23-'25 roadster side panels. So your " '21 turtledeck " will fit but be incorrect for the body. The rear body panel will have a horizontal bead that will be too high above the forward portion of the turtledeck.
It also appears that you have a low radiator, judging by the lower trim piece on the shell. Dave
The lower trim piece does appear to be the earlier and low radiator style. But the radiator is leaning against a high radiator firewall. The height difference (to me) would indicate that it is a high radiator (tough to say for sure, one side of the radiator is not clear down in the frame). Also, on the inside of the hood, in the photo, I see the hood latch bumps for the high style hood.
My guess is that it is mostly a 1924/5 runabout. It may also be a bit of a mix. Especially since I also see a round gas tank (pre'21). Either way, it looks like a great project.
I suspect you will have to sort out the parts into an early and a late pile. Then decide which you want to end up with and which pile you may wish to trade off for the parts you need.
Drive carefully, and enjoy, W2
