If you decide to rebuild the brush plate for the generator and replace the insulators, who sells the correct rivets for the job? I see that Fun Projects is supposed to have the "best Insulators" but what about rivets. my plate has 7 rivets in it.
John
The FunProjects generator and starter brushplate insulators are superior in every way.
I have never seen a Model T generator brushplate with seven rivets? Give me a call and we can talk about rivets and a source.

mine has seven. two for each of the large brush holders and three on the insulators. there is also a lone set of insulators under one of the brush holders in between that space left by the large insulators. I would post a photo but this site is crazy about photos.
Close look appears that the one brush holder is riveted to the plate and has what appears as an insulator but maybe they are steel plates? This one is actually riveted right to the plate. But, you cant replace the insulators on mine without removing one bush plate that has integral rivets. what do you do about that?
Give Ron a call. He'll talk you through it.
Those rivets are part of the brush holder. They are replaced with small machine screws. Find someone that is close to you that can do it. Is not hard but if you have to hunt all the stuff to do it, could be. Most guys that work on Gen have them rebuilt in stock. Dan.
Thanks Guys - yes, I gave Ron a call, - what a nice guy - he actually lives fairly close to me too - I'm on the right track now! Thanks again guys and thanks Ron!
