I ordered them Fri night and got them in the mail today! The instructions seem to have you buying then machining a Stanley countersink bit to use to get the perfect hole. Surely there is an easier way?
Was easy for me!
Easier still by using alum pop-rivets
If you buy countersunk 3/16 alum pop rivets from www.AircraftSpruce.com , you can use a common countersink or drill bit.
It's a good idea to knock the nails out.
I used a Forstner (Sp?) bit the first time. It's a bit that drills flat bottomed holes. Then I drilled the through hole in the center of that.
East does it. Don't press too hard, It drills deep and fast if you're not very careful and deliberate. Jim Patrick
Use a drill press and set the stop. Jim is right. You can go too far in a hurry.
