I found this steering arm cap when working on a newly found chassis.

Apparently not spring loaded, to take up wear, but instead just meant to facilitate greasing/lubrication.

I believe it would have had a spring loaded plunger like the APCO units.

I have one on my 16. There is spring, you are thinking about the ABCO. This is meant to be an easy way to grease the pitman arm and the other end of the drag link. I wish I had more of them.
