Lovely.
And again -- you well-meaning car restorers -- observe how shiny the paint on ALL of these cars is: it's almost as you can dive in and see the eye of God.
Not.
But it's your cars. Keep on making them pretty as pineapple pie on an autumn morning.
If everything goes well, I'll have my first outing on the El Mirage dry lake on Saturday, collecting desert dust in all those little crevices that will NEVER come out again (unless I pressure wash the car for a week).
Luckily some cars still look like Model T Fords supposed to look. It's just that they are disappearing at an alarming rate, which fills my heart with sadness.
Oh well . . . as Buddha said: life is suffering and then you die.
Guess I need a cup-a-coffe now.
Both of those T's have Hasslers. Interesting.

I wonder where and when that picture was taken. The first Standard stations I remember as a boy had the Chevron logo and the words Standard Stations Inc.

My guess is that no one could afford gasoline. All the cars are parked but if you look carefully at the right side of the picture there is a horse going down the street.
