Gentlemen, I found the patent plate for my T in a box of parts. All the details are gone from the plate and only the T's number is distinguishable. I've ordered a new patent plate from Langs. It, obviously, comes blank where the number is supposed to go.
Anyone out there have some numbers, preferably that are similar/match the number on this old plate, they can punch onto the patent plate for me so I can use the plate on my T? I would mail the plate and pay a reasonable fee for the effort.
Thank you,
Darin
Darin,
I went to a local trophy engraver for my plate. He had a font list where he matched the font and then typed the numbers in and duplicated the original.
This way the plate didn't get distorted from steel stamps.
Tom,
Good idea. Hadn't considered that route.
