I recently saw a thread from back in 2005.
http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/29/23821.html
It had two photos of pre-'26 firewalls, with overall width dimension noted. I am in need of the same info for a 26 or 27 firewall.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

There is some soundproof padding on the inside of the 1926-27 firewalls.
Does anyone sell those pieces already cut out?
Does anyone know the correct name for those pieces or where to look for the size dimensions?
Bill,
From the Jan 1926 Ford Service Bulletin they have the illustration below of the commercial chassis (i.e. car chassis without a body). It used the same hood, radiator, and fenders as the car. The dash was part number 3436L and was used on the commercial car chassis. Note all the car bodies had the dash permanently attached to the body. Although the dash can be drilled / cut and removed from the car body and used for a Hack etc.
According to the diagram the widest part of the dash is 31 3/32 inches. Someone may want to double check that as occasionally the Ford diagrams or the reprints of them are wrong (for example the 1906 catalog that shows the exhaust and intake manifold on the right side of the Model N Ford – the photo was printed reversed in the pamphlet).
Note the Service Bulletins are available hard copy and soft copy from the vendors for example see Lang's http://www.modeltford.com/item/P7-CD.aspx or hard copy: http://www.modeltford.com/item/P7.aspx . Additionally they are included in the MTFCI Digital Library at: http://www.modeltford.com/item/DL001.aspx .
Respectfully submitted,

James, I bought mine ready cut and formed. They insulate the gas tank from the hot dash and are not a flat piece but are bellied like the dash. My Fordor doesn't have an insulator but my roadster and touring each have one.
See http://www.modeltford.com/item/2918.aspx
Thanks, Hap. That is exactly what I needed.
