Is the tuition at the " School of Hard Knocks " going up ?
Replaced head gasket on T and decided to go ahead and flush radiator . Must have flushed out what was blocking leaks . Few more dollars to the lesson of learning the hard way .
Half the fun is getting there when learning about these 85+ year old machines .
Been there done that...got the T shirt!
You think you're doing the old car a good deed and you're just making yourself some more work.
All part of the fun.
What type of head gasket did you use? Did you use a gasket sealer on both side of your head gasket? If so, that should have take care of any leaks past, present or future. If not, I have the best luck with the spray on copper gasket sealer and use the copper head gasket. That is, an asbestos gasket sandwiched between two thin sheets of copper. Jim Patrick
I suspect the leaks were in his radiator, because he flushed out all the oat meal that grandpa put in there years ago

I did that once, myself. I did the vinegar soak in my radiator and never got the leaks sealed back up. It was already not cooling well, but after 'cleaning' it, it didn't cool AND it leaked like a sieve. And I didn't even get a T-Shirt.
If you have head bolts (instead of studs), clean out the bolt holes and screw the bolts all the way down. Carefully measure from the underside of the bolts to the top of the block. Sit the head on a flat surface (table saw worked for me)then carefully measure the depth of the hole from the top of the bolt hole. I found my bolts had stretched after 87 years and were from 1/16 to 3/32 inch too long. New bolts are available but I just ground mine down to match the one new bolt that I had bought to replace a rusted one. Leaking head gasket problem solved

Well ,that was one of the first hard knock lessons . Remember to re torque head after warmed up . Learned that lesson . No damage done .
Think I did flush out oatmeal or something like that from radiator that was stopping leaks .
Radiator headed to local shop and hope they can patch and doesn't become another expensive lesson .
