It's being broadcast live on CBS 2 in LA; not sure elsewhere. First time for private spacecraft.
Elon Musk is doing better with this than with his electric cars.

Underwhelmed you, huh?
I thought you guys who want to shrink govt would be crowing about this amazing success of private enterprise. Oh, it happened on Obama's watch; can't be good.

Consider that perhaps some of us are tired of seeing too many OT threads and have OT threads on ignore..............
Good point, Luke.
OT yes and kind of impressive but WOW Ralph! How did they get that T to the moon? E-Timer perhaps? :-)
Most have a water pump and thermostat for sure.
That's not the Moon. That's the Filming Set used over at Norton AFB in California isn't it?
That's one hot bell! Watch the onboard launch video on youtube.

Thanks, Garnet.
My rocket engineer neighbor interviewed for a job with Space X. He said they build components in-house where possible, while NASA built their rockets with parts from suppliers in just about every CONgressional district.
I forgot who created the moon pic. Could be Horlick's handiwork. The date I have on it is 2007, May 9.

Thank you, Ralph. I am not completely ignoring OTs yet. While I want "most" of the postings to be T related, I also consider many of the people on this forum to be good friends. I no more want to limit the threads on here to strictly T than I would only talk antique automobiles with my closest friends in person.
Again, thank you. Besides, this is where I get most of my world news from.
Drive carefully, and enjoy, W2
