I just ordered a new enclosed trailer for the T. What if anything are you guys doing to treat the flooring? I'm just trying to minimize the staining that a T can create. Thanks. Dave.

I painted mine with exterior latex enamel and threw in a cup of anti slip grit. It seems to be impervious to oil and gas. The texture keeps me from slipping on it when it is wet, and allows traction for the car when driving in or out.

First, I paint the walls white so I can see inside at night.

I always purchase a bucket of gray colored one-part epoxy and roll it on where the tires will run. Then I roll the entire floor and sprinkle the non-slip making two coats on the points of wear. Sand will do for a non-slip if you can't find walnut shells. I leave the side door alone but put several coats of good varnish on it to add a nice touch.

I always get the factory winch because they put the battery in a vented box and wire it so that your towing vehicle alternator charges the battery. I always wire up a plug so that you can charge the battery easily without taking the lid off of the box.

Then I have the factory run a wire to the breakaway switch rather than have them install the box on the tongue of the trailer so I don't have to mess with the little battery they provide, that reduces the cost of the trailer and you only have to play with one battery.

Then I get the biggest drip pan they make and fasten it down with four lag screws and four fender washers to grip the pan. It's easy to remove the pan for cleaning just in case your Model T might drip a little bit of oil on it ;~)

Frank, Great ideas. I use the metal conduit clamps (look like a question mark from side view) to hold down my drip pan. Don't need to put holes in pan.

Gary, that's why I use the fender washers. I didn't explain it well enough and thanks for correcting me. I drill the four holes right next to the pan and the fender washers grab the pan. This way you only have to loosen the lag bolts a little bit and slip the tray out for cleaning. I pressure wash the floor and it doesn't need any soap.

I ordered mine with a gray linoleum. I roll out a plastic painters drop cloth and tape it down. After each trip I roll it up and discard. This keeps it clean and makes clean up easy. I have used my Haulmark for more than the "T" Its been used to move our kids from college to apartments to houses, etc. John

My trailer has a diamond plate steel floor. I throw a large piece of cardboard on the floor to suck up any leaks. Every year or two I pressure wash the floor.
