Gidday everyone,
yesterday I soldered new mesh screens onto a couple of Sediment bowl outlets I have made good, and I've only got a small 40W electronics type soldering iron, but by helping the process by heating the whole outlet with the aid of a heat gun for a few minutes first, and keeping the heat gun going while soldering, it made it easy for the small iron to do it, and the heat already in the outlet made the solder flow and take well to the brass to do a nice job. I just made sure like any soldering job, everything is as clean as possible before soldering. I had the heat gun on the "low" setting, putting out about 900W of heat.

Good idea Bede! Thanks. Dave
