It's just a railroad motor car Dennis for transporting men down the tracks. For some reason this one was fitted with a Model T engine. There's no obvious means of connecting a pull car behind it so I don't know why the Model T engine ...

Dennis,
It was used for transporting men and tools to a work site. Much of the railroads were not accessible by car or truck so these little "jiggers" were used to get to the work site or travel on the track making an inspection or trouble shooting.

Garnet and I have both used them or variations of during our railroad careers.

Is that a Boyco can behind the bottle?

The Model T was a popular starting point to make all kinds of things, maybe more power than needed here but it was available and cheap!
