hi

This is before you use the Keyword search function at the top of the page.

A lot of computer uses don’t know the following….
This will only work if the specific word you are looking for was used by the writer of the thread. If the writer had a strange way of alluding to his subject… you are out of luck. If he is writing about his Hassler shocks and he says, “What I did about my shocks”… you don’t see and won’t find the word Hassler.

Say you want to look for all of the posts on Hassler shocks; do this:
After you have clicked up the Forum year and you are seeing the long list of subjects… go up to your Menu bar (where you see File,Edit,View,Favorites,Tools) and left click on Edit. Come down and left click on ‘Find on this page’. Type in the word Hassler and keep hitting Next. If you have lost your Menu bar, maybe I can help you get it back. Or ask a friend.

It might be worth just looking for the word shock (don’t use the letter s) be as brief as you can. You can do this on any Form year.
At other times, like when on a long page you can hunt for a word in the same manor, maybe someone’s name that you had seen on a previous visit.

An easier way to access the 'find feature' is to just press Control-F on yer keyboard regardless of what browser you use.

Re: Using the Browser search feature.
Searching for ‘Hassler” using ‘Keyword Search’ by “Subject Lines” and “Forum 2012” finds the same results as the browser search for 2012.
Using the same parameters but by “Text of Messages” finds 9 hits for 2012, and searching with “All Topics” finds 87 hits for all forum years.
Notice that when searching with the browsers ‘Word Find’ or the ‘Keyword Search’ you will not find 'THIS" post with the word “Browser” in it, but ‘Keyword Search’ using ‘Text of Messages’ will.
Creative (Cutesy) wording of the ‘Subject Line’ is the biggest problem when it comes to searching.
