Hi all! I know I'll only use a gasket between the spool and the diff housing for set up if needed but should i use a gasket between the shaft tube and the spool? don't look like it will change anything to me. i have the chaffin axle manual and don't see anything about it except to use sealant at the spool and the diff housing.i might be half blind today or just cant see straight today. i am getting old you know! thanks. Ken
Here's a recent thread about the same issue, the author answered himself http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/257047/290534.html?1337749205

All I do is put a thick coat of sealant between the torque tube and bearing housing. They never seem to leak. Now for the other 100 places????
The drive shaft never had a gasket between the spool and tube. I use liquid gasket sealer. The gasket between the spool and differential housings were used only to give the pinion gear more clearance. otherwise no gasket , only sealer.
