Could someone help me ID a speedometer head? It has a 2" face and a recessed body w/ 3 1/4 center to center mounting holes. It looks to me like it fits in the dash or is missing the bezel.
It is mfg by the Northeast Appl Corp
and has pat # 1608872
The Cable enters in the bottom.
It's in a junk store for $34.50 and they say it is for a Model T.
Thanks
Definitely not T
I goggled the pat. No. that you gave and here is the result. http://www.google.com/patents?id=0HxkAAAAEBAJ&pg=PA1&source=gbs_selected_pages&c ad=2#v=onepage&q&f=false
Northeast were used on early Dodges, among perhaps, others.
Thanks for the help. My first thought was "not T"
but always learning so thought I better ask.
It also looks like I copied the pat# wrong....the numbers were rather difficult to read.
I think I'll let the junk store keep their
"T" speedo.
Thanks for the info!

If you looked at the pat. no. you gave it was for something other than a speedo.
Actually the patent is for “Temperature Compensation” for magnetic driven instruments,
so is it not a possibility that it is incorporated into the speedometer that Floyd had found?
Here is a patent for a speedometer by the same inventor and assignee.

Yup, I mis-read the patent #.
when I went back to the store to check the number, it had been sold.
Thanks for helping!
