I went for about a 100 mile drive on Monday, beautiful weather and a great drive. I was even traveling faster than a few bugs!

I once read (On here, I think) where some guys had assigned a point system to bugs in the radiator. It went something like this. Ones that had been hit from the side got one point. Those that had been hit from the rear got two points. Those that were hit head on did not count, as they were assumed to be suicides.:-)

My favorite is the lady bug in the upper left hand corner. Hal the lady bug would be a 2 pointer his head is facing forward.

Ya, I don't see one little speck on that Radiator. Is that because of the glare of the brass scares them up onto the windshield?

The windshield did have some bugs on it. There were some on the brass it is just not showing up in the photo.

Let us not forget that awful day when Jay caused Woody to "Go Toward the Light?" To "Bite the Big One." "Take a Dirt Nap." To Cross Over; etc. etc.

Yes, it truly was a sad day ...........

George B,
You should try picking them out of a honeycomb!
Drive carefully, and enjoy, W2

Hi Mike,
Your post reminded me of a trip a few of us had around Easter. We set out to join the Outback Model T Club about 400 miles west of Sydney.

At the end of the first days run we had covered 140 miles and at the Motel noticed we all had a collection of bugs in the radiator. It was decided that we would have a contest to see who collected the most on the trip.

All went well till we spent a day at a Zoo in Dubbo (a western town) which has a set up where you can actually drive around the various sections, park and view the different animals.

While we were having lunch out contest suffered a set back when the local bird population which was checking us out for scraps discovered the insects in the radiator cores and set about removing them to snack on - so end of contest, and I was coming second at that stage!!!

Hope your tour goes well , wish we could be there.

Today i had a fly crawl along the front of my car and over the edge of the windscreen for a few miles before i gained enough speed for it to lose its grip and blow away, From this i calculate my speed was precisely a very specific speed called slow.

Peter - I could see that happening. My parents had a game bird farm while I was growing up. Bugs were a big treat when they could catch one.

We are all set for the tour. We are putting the goodie bags together this afternoon. All of our reservations are made. We shall miss you guys this year.
