I can't remember there being mention on the forum here that some Model T's still survive in India.
India was in the day a colony of the British Empire as was Australia, New Zealand, South Africa etc. Here is a link to a discussion on a site that has a lot of photo's and information about the owners of the survivers in the country today which some of you may find interesting

If the link doesn't work go to www.team-bhp.com and search for Model T Ford.
Seems that the gremlin is still with us , sorry for the double post
Peter,
That is a great site. It prompted me to dig out some of my old " Model T Times Magazines ". In 1973 there was an article on FORDS AROUND THE WORLD. Here are a couple of pictures from that article. Regards John
I had a gentleman from India come up to me one day in a parking lot after I parked my T. He told me that his grandfather was well off and bought 2 model T's He had them shipped to India and drove one and used the other for parts.
I've often wondered how many T's were actually shipped over to India and if any have survived.
If the Canadian shipping charts in the book " In the Shadow of Detroit " by David Roberts are any indication and are correct. Quite a lot. In the thousands over the years 1911-1923. Regards, John
22,000 were shipped to India from Canada, but few of them survive it seems from the thread linked in the top post.
