The Model T tour/show/swap-meet at Farmington, MN is this coming weekend June 9 & 10. I'm sure there will be a few guys from this forum there. Anything new or different we should be checking out? Anyone on the forum involved with the Model T groups putting it on?

I just moved and have a lot of work to get done, so I can't make it this year. It's always a fun event though.

I remember going to that car show 20+ years ago when I was about 8 or 9 years old. Dad gave us strict instructions not to touch any cars, but while Dad was talking to someone I remember leaning on the tire of the Model T we were standing by. Dad scolded me, and the guy he was talking to looked at me and said "I touched someone else's car ONCE" and held up his hand which was missing some fingers.

I didn't touch any more cars after that. :-)

Here are some of the cars that were there. This year the temp was in the 90's and there were less cars than usual, but it was still worth the drive to see them. Many of the cars there were "drivers" and several were originals that have never been repainted. There were lots of nicely restored Model Ts too.

It was a great fun meet and swap. I had been looking for 50 years for the font for a solar tail light. I had lost the original 50 years ago when it fell off on a tour. There was only one font of any type for sale at the meet. Bill Glass had one that looked as if it might fit. I paid $10 for it and took it home. It went right on! I have a box of 15 fonts I have bought over the years and this is the first one that was correct.
