I was wondering if anyone had a location or name of a place to buy authentic fabric ? Fabric stores do not carry anything close. I am working on a 26' coupe.
Thanks for any help.

Cartouche from Mac's
I just came in from the man cave, after glueing (contact cement) my classtique carpet to the seat riser or heal board as some call it. I'm here to tell all that simple pc. fit in there like Ford made it.Those folks are good.
Jerry - Steve Jelf suggested Classtique; to add to what Steve said, I've had no experience in this area, but from what I have read on this forum for several years, there is a lady by the name of "Elizabeth" at Classtique that many, many forum members have said is just about as nice and as helpful as anyone could ask for. Seems like that would be a good "contact" for you for the right type top fabric and also for some "expert" advice and/or helpful tips. For what it's worth,...harold
Yup! Elizabeth is really helpful (even to me, the guy who isn't buying one of her kits (I will someday though)) and the Classtique kit far surpasses the Cartouche one, in both quality and workmanship. Also with Classtique when you buy their kit you get everything, interior panels, tacks nails trim, extra padding, pretty good instructions the works, and, I think they're cheaper than Cartouche to boot.
Elizabeth Estepp proprietor of Classtique Upholstery will probably sell you fabric by the yard.
My dad and recently I visited her at her Ham Lake, MN shop. My dad made a leather fall for the front seat of a 1900 Waverley Electric that he is restoring and he brought it to Elizabeth so she could do the necessary sewing with one of her commercial machines. He also purchased a piece of wool carpet and leatherette binding from her.
From left to right: my dad, one of Elizabeth's faithful employees and the famous Elizabeth. The seat cushion was part of one of the many orders they were fulfilling that week.
Sounds good thanks all.
I think Bill Hirsch sells fabric.
I've been trying to reach Elizabeth for two weeks now, are things OK there??

They are a Nationwide distributor. Don't know if they sell to the public for sure, but my daughter once worked for them & they had some very authentic stuff:

I reached them this morning! My order is there, so all is well--they're just really swamped with work! Guess we'd better stop bragging about her so much!
Nothing like word of mouth for a good business.
Ah, life is better now--forum's back and my top order is not lost.
Now to just get time to work on Barney!
