It almost looks like it has a fifth wheel on the rear.

Neat photo. To me it looks like the old metal tractor seat on the back facing to the rear. Perhaps so they could operate equipment.

I don't know what is going on with the double posting. I got an error message and re-posted this.
Sorry Chris If you want to delete one go ahead.

Herb

PS spell check didn't like the word reposted so I changed it to re-posted and it was good.
Is it that sensitive?
PPS Spell check doesn't like spellcheck:-)

it looks like a fairly new roadster, judging the paint condition. Is that a licence plate wired to the radiator? I suspect the owner could remove the entire rear end and replace it with the original for road use. Nice photo!

Wow wow wow Art I never saw the man in the car till you worked on it!
It looks like spare parts laying on the back.

Thanks

Herb

Herb, the photo may just be a set-up to show the tractor conversion. Spare bolts on the running board and the gears on the back may be the pair of drive gears which go on the rear axles of the car diff. I think they drive a large ring gear on the inside of the iron tyre. This is how the gear reduction works.

Just for interest.

Allan from down under.
