I know a lot of people are not fans of vaporizer carburetors but since I was lucky enough to locate the original motor for my '27 Touring and now have matching serial number on the frame and motor I am going to try to run the car with the vaporizer it originally came with. The block has never been punched out between #2 and #3 and there is no hole in the valve cover so I would really like to keep it that way. Unfortunately, the motor that I have been running in the car is a '25 and was set up with an NH so I am unsure as to how the choke and throttle linkage needs to be set up. Can anyone supply me with detailed pictures of the linkage set up for a vaporizer so that I can give it a try?
Here is the column side. I have a jam nut in place of a cotter key.
I got the clamp on throttle lever that goes on your throttle control rod on the steering col. from Lang's.
Thanks, those pictures are just what I needed. The arm on the throttle control rod was moved down the shaft for the NH and is held in place with a cotter pin. I found the original hole further up on the control rod so I think all I have to do is slide the arm back up and pin it in place. Now if I can only get the vaporizer to run well I'll be all set.
Val, You mentioned the choke setup for the vaporizer. In case you need the info. You choke the engine by pulling the mixture knob. You will need a Choke Rod Pull Sleeve T4591 on the mixture rod connected to the choke by a piece of wire. (I used a length of small chain to make it easier to adjust) Don't forget the cotter pin on the rod before it enters the Adjusting rod arm. Keeps it from going to far in and binding the universal joint.

Be aware that the arm on the throttle control rod is slightly longer for a vaporizer carb (P/N 3531B) than the one for an NH (P/N 3531).
I like that air breather, any info on what it is?
