I had an e-mail with a ticket attached yesterday from American Airlines, I found out today its bogus and if you open the ticket, you may be in trouble. So be careful with it!
I had one yesterday from "Bank of America" wanting me to click on a link and "update my information" to keep my account from being closed. It was very well done, but the writer not being a native speaker of English gave it away. That, and the fact that in the entire history of the world I've never had an account with B of A.
I never, ever click on, open answer, etc., any email asking me to update or provide personal information on any account whether I have that account or not. Some companies have a reporting procedure where you can forward bogus (or suspected) emails to them. Don't open the email, just forward as directed. They usually will respond letting you know if it's bogus or not and they use the information to pursue the @#$%.
@#$% as Gary calls them IS NOT A BAD ENOUGH NAME FOR THOSE useless deadbeat ba#$%^ds.
There must be a way a few can be caught and their i.d.'s made public. It has to happen some time. Now is as good as later.
I got one from fedex today, but the best thing is that I won the Spanish lottery to the tune of 914,000 euros, all I have to do is send my passport, drivers license and bank account number...oh crap, I was supposed to keep that a secret,
Best
Gus
I must say I use Gmail and I never ever but once in blue moon kinda day get to see these. They go right to the spam folder and for that matter I've never had to retrieve a legitimate email from the spam folder. As well Google gmail produces an account and mobile phone stuff ties all this together. Youtube uploads etc...
I just got an email on my Hotmail account when I opened it that wanted a bunch of info that I had never put in my account. I just deleted it, and then reopened my account, and it opened right up. Got to watch these a$$holes! Dave
I would love to have the knowledge to "reply" to these scams with a special e-mail so that their computers get a virus and "crash"....... but then, I'd also love to have the knowledge of why T's can run so good one minute and so bad the next????
They still come by snail mail too. Why would anybody want to do business with deceitful weasels who design their junk mail to look like it's from SSA?
