I am finishing up on my 26 Roadster before painting, and I need to know the following:

#1:
On the photo with the red arrows - this is a piece of trim that is meant to hold the interior kit on the edges behind the doors – it goes from the top edge shown all the way down the doorframe - is this original or something someone made up? It looks made up… The reason I ask is my kit will not fit in this, and the kit I have has stitching that would be covered if I push it inside of this. This is a going to be a high point car and I need to get it as close to original as I can.

#2:
The second photo is of my top bows after re-wooding, but before I put the rivets in - I need to know how far apart the bows are supposed to be "outside edge to outside edge” my top bow is 51 inches. What is it supposed to be?

Sincerely,

The early 26 bodies had wood to tack into to hold the hip panel in that area. Your body is the later style, that trim gets opened up and panel slips into it then crimped onto panel. It is definitely correct trim for later 26-27 bodies.
