Just want to know the correct position of the fuel sediment bowl on my 22 T. Does the fuel line point to the rear of the car with the fuel line making a loop then going towards the front? Ive seen some fuel lines advertised with a loop in them.. This placement would have the on/off lever on the right side of the car...Or does the bowl mount with the line facing the front of the car with the on/off lever on the left side of the car.. how was it originally?

Joe, every one I have had experience with had the fuel outlet facing the front, so the route to the carburetor was as short as possible.

To each his own, but i inserted a short section of rubber fuel line in the rigid line to absorb the flex.

I think in '22, they were still using the early style crankcase arm block, which has a bevel on the bottom side to allow the gas line to come through. The gas line goes along the frame. The sediment bowl outlet should face forward, as mentioned. After the gas line leaves the crankcase arm block, it goes upward toward the carburetor. Brake line tubing is your best bet for your car.

My mostly original 21 had the gas line more or less routed like above photos except it went under the exhaust pipe along the lower edge of the frame. Never heard of passing the gas line through the bevel in the block. The bevel in the block is to fit the bend in the frame. There might have been a pair of bent metal brackets that mounted to one of the cross shaft bolts to hold the line that were added sometime after 21.

A 22 what? The routing is different for Coupe, Sedan and Touring.
