Hi, Today in my little town that I call home (Soldiers Grove, WI) I was headed to the hardware store with my son and when I turned the corner, I think my mouth dropped open! My four year old said, Dad we've gotta stop! Luckily I had my camera, so I took a few photo's to share. In a town of less than 600, it does create a bit of a stir. We are usually a "one T town" (mine), so it was pretty cool! They stopped at one of our local hangouts for a bite to eat. The little boy in the photo's is my 4 year old son. Enjoy
That's a beautiful area for a leisurely drive!
Very scenic and very curvy.
We sometimes pass through there when we go to Prairie du Chien (where my wife grew up) instead of dealing with traffic on Hwy 35.
Craig, Yes, sometimes living here, we take the beauty for granted. My automotive repair shop is about 1/2 a mile up the valley from where the cars were. We have been in business for 67 years in this same little town and we are truly blessed!
What a coincidence Paul!
Our family business was started by my grandpa in 1942 but really in 1938. We always used the 1942 date as that was the first year he kept books as a business.
We're heading down to Prairie fairly soon.......I'd like to see your T's.......and you.......
There was an earlier post asking about color to paint a speedster...
Jaw dropping indeed!! Nice
Those are some people from our chapter. I recognize Scott & Sheryl Stier's yellow with white tires speedster and Lauren Rush's purple with orange wheels car. Fourth picture down on the right side looks like Tom Griefan's car also but not positive on that one. Jonathan Woodin's car is one of the red ones with no fenders.
Check the second and third pictures down from the top.
The white car has blue disc wheels on one side and red wires on the other!
Paul,
I too live in a one T town. Still haven't figured out if its a good or bad thing. Nearest operating T to me is about 15 miles away.
Thanks for posting the pics. Much appreciated. We don't see that sort of thing down here.
Aaron,
wouldn't that be an aerodynamic aid for when drifting sideways in left turns on the speedway near 200mph?
Aaron - that's 3 blue disc wheels and one red wire wheel (belongs to Chuck)
Three great days of Speedsters running up and down the rural hills and valleys of western Wisconsin. Just got a bit of rain to dampen things this AM....27 speedsters and 2 tourings made up the group. No injuries and only 1 break down.
Next year is in Missouri.
Hey, that's my car in picture 5 on the right!
Great photos Paul. I think you better watch out for that kid though. Who knows what future trouble he could be scheming behind those innocent eyes.
In MISSOURI WHERE?? Please keep us informed T and TT Ford Parts Fulton Mo, presently president of the Kingdom Of Callaway MTFCA. I'm the last founding member of our chapter started in 1966, our chapter started in 76
