Started a new thread this morning on this don't know what happened to it, I am a newbie with a 1924 Turtle Deck Roadster. The right bottom headlight bolt bumps against the Hassler Spring and I don't know why. It has about 3/4 inch of clearance. Body bolts are all in the frame. Can't see a broken leaf spring? Ideas?
The spring on the Hassler looks to far outboard. Also check the arch and number of leaves in your spring.
Just counted them and count 6 leafs. Is there an easy way to adjust the Hassler?
Nope,You will have to compress the Hassler spring quite a bit to move it. How's the other side?
Other side isn't bumping like the right side. What is the best way to compress it?
Or would jacking the body and frame up make it easier?
Get a piece of 3/8 all thread and a couple washers and nuts. Lifting the frame might make it easier to get to,but not really necessary.
